Our clients are leading insurance carriers in the property and casualty sector and Brovada is a software developer specializing in business process integration, system conversions, legacy system integrations and broker connectivity for these clients. Our expertise is often sought to expedite transition of data between systems and develop new solutions to drive business process efficiency. Our business is growing in Central and Western Canada and we have a requirement for senior business analysts with a strong background in application or software product development to augment our current team.

As an externally facing client service professional, the successful candidate will be working with the Carrier Projects & Implementation team and our Project Managers on the design, development and   implementation of our products and solutions for existing and new clients. This role will be potentially engaged in all aspects of project activity from contracting and statement of work definition, to development, implementation, and customer acceptance.  Ability to travel to client locations in Canada and the US is required.

• Work with customers to outline and scope solutions, both technically and functionally
• Investigate and recommend technical alternatives and solutions as required
• Work closely with Project Managers to develop contract deliverables, statements of work, project plans, and resourcing plans for customer implementation projects
• Work collaboratively with project teams to ensure all milestones are being met
• Produce technical and client documentation as required
• Interface with the development team on the design, build and customization of Brovada solutions, contributing to development activity as required
• Provide input, oversight and coaching to project team participants

• A minimum of 5 years experience in a business analyst role involving complex information technology projects
• A strong working background with .NET and J2EE technologies
• Comfort and confidence in customer facing engagements
• Demonstrated written and oral communication skills
• Effective time management skills
• Well-developed analytical and problem solving skills
• Proactive team player with the ability to motivate in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
• Computer science degree/diploma accreditation or equivalent demonstrated experience
• Preference given to candidates with experience in the P&C insurance sector
• French language skills a definite asset
